Frames

Frames and what you need to build a bike

To build a bike from scratch is not every ones cup of tea, so the chopperdome offers a selection of custom frames for those who are looking for something unique or tell us what you want and we will build you the bike. At the Chopperdome garage we use Firebikes, Project 346, RHL and No name customs or send in your own design.

When you made your choice of frame because you just simply like the lines or have thought out a theme and made this way your decision what frame to use, it's time for wheels, and the fork we offer hubs and rims from various brands and can build you any wheel. Rims in 47mm, 65 mm, 80 mm, 100 mm combined with your choice of hub, no question for us just ask and we will build you the wheel after we have given you advice if needed. Of course we have a range of production wheels for a smaller budget. To finish the wheel and ready for use a tire, look for matching rim and tire size, innertube is handy, and for those using 346 malthese ross or spade cut out rims think about color of rimstrip to use.

Forks, note that every frame has it's specific size headtube. In a 1 1/8" headtube, like in general on Nirve, Project 346, Felt and Electra production bikes ( models 2005 and before had 1'", so check your frame) you can fit with the use of adaption parts a 1" fork, but the other way around is more tricky. Firebikes frames use 1" headtube and fork. RHL is 1 1/8". Use cane creek sealed bearing headset if headset will have more pressure to stand. If you have questions contact us.

With the bike on it wheels and ready to roll we need a chain, chainring, crank, and bearings, pedals, saddle and handlebar to get going. To finish your build a set of grips matching the choice out of 60 saddles or tires. Use your custom daily, then remember lights might be needed and fender come in handy in rainy climate.
