FBR 346
Firebikes and The Chopperdome always had the dream to build a project together. We were also developing the Basman at the same time. But it is a story worth telling…
In 2005, we started with the FBR 346, which turned to be a bit too radical for production. We intended to build up a production ready bike with several high end custom parts. Such as the wide 100mm DHL rim, seen at the Bicycle show in Taipei that spring. The original frame needed to be widened in order to fit in the 100mm rim. Besides the Stingray, there was no cruiser using these rims and specially not in 24".
The 346 FBR was presented at Bikemotion 2005, but with the Basman coming up, the plans for a 346 Firebike were postponed. Until summer 2007, when Firebikes and Project 346 showed the prototype of the 346 Morgtition at Eurobike.
